With most of the party leadership reportedly in favour of making Modi the face of BJP, and reveal him as the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate for 2014 general elections, did Advani stretch his opposition a bit too far? Has he lost face as the party’s senior statesman with his continuous opposition and virtual boycott of the Goa summit (officially, the senior MP did not go to Goa due to stomach ailment, though he was seen leaving his New Delhi home on Monday morning, just a day after the Goa meet got over).
