Website to facilitate the scholarship scheme

The Tamil Nadu Government tuesday launched a web-enabled Adi Dravidar scholarship scheme with complete workflow system at state, district and institution levels.

The new portal - http://edistrict.tn.gov.in - not only cuts down delay in issue of scholarship but also makes the status of the scholarship application available through the site to students and institutions, an official release here said.

The release said the procedure enables transparency in the system and handles the scholarship of students studying in colleges. Complete business flow has been maintained from the receipt of the applications till sanctioning of scholarships by District Adi Dravidar officers and disbursement of scholarship to the students, it said.

Apart from this, provision of tracking the work flow at every level, the status of scholarship is made available to students and institutions on internet and facility for various monitoring reports by the senior officers in the Department, the release added.
