Cyber arrests after youth withdrew for Rs 17 lakhs from a woman's account

Three youth have been arrested by Madhya Pradesh's cyber cell for allegedly withdrawing Rs 17 lakh from a woman's bank account, police said today.

The accused, all aged 26, were arrested yesterday, the state Director General of Police (DGP) S K Raut told reporters here.

Raut said that of the three, Ritesh Chouksey and Rahul Sharma are from Bhopal while the third Shyam Yadav is a resident of Sehore.

Raut said that Ritesh had earlier worked with Kotak Mahindra Bank and used the knowledge of its procedures to withdraw Rs one lakh for 17 days from April 30.

He said that legal action would be taken against those who had helped the three.
