Tech Mahindra, Mahindra Satyam jointly executing projects

Joint task force facilitating joint initiatives

PTI | September 3, 2010

Even before the official process of integration of Tech Mahindra and Mahindra Satyam commenced, execution of projects is being shared between the companies, highly placed sources said today.

"We are working jointly in marketing and execution of various projects. Major telecom projects are being diverted to Tech Mahindra as they have expertise in the domain," sources associated with both the companies told PTI.

Recently telecom major MTNL awarded a contract of the converged billing solution project to a consortium of ten members that includes Mahindra Satyam, BEL, and IBM.

According to a senior official of Tech Mahindra, they have reportedly set up joint task forces with 4-5 people, including one senior person each from TechM and Mahindra Satyam (earlier known as Satyam Computer Services) in areas of infrastructure, human resources, technology and purchases.

These groups decide on what initiatives can be done jointly.

Both the companies may use different name but have common orientation programs, use same resources and training during placements.
