Shriram Automall launches computerised touch screen kiosk

Kiosks to be virtual bazar about used commercial vehicles

Shriram Automall India, a subsidiary of asset financing firm Shriram Transport Finance, today launched 'Shriram One Stop', a computerised touch screen kiosk, which would be a virtual truck bazaar and provide information about used commercial vehicles available for sale.

"This would bring more transparency while buying and selling used commercial vehicles. These will be set up in all the 486 branches of the company spread across the country in a phased manner," company officials said.

Under the second initiative, the company said old trucks of all types would be acquired from the market, refurbished and sold under the new brand name Shriram Newlook with their "commercial value enhanced".

According to U G Revankar, DMD, Shriram Transport Finance, "These value added services will benefit every stakeholder in the transport industry and will facilitate faster replacement and better quality used vehicles on Indian roads".
