Punjab Police to be E-literate

Signs MOU with Punjab Infotech

Punjab Police is all set to become E-literate as it signed an MoU with Punjab Infotech to provide computer training and IT skills to all its personnel. The basic training would lay the foundation for training them on Crime and Criminal Tracking Network System (CCTNS) project under the national e-Governance Plan to modernize the police force giving top priority to enhancing outcome in the area of crime investigation. The MoU was signed by Pardeep Yadav, Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Punjab Police and Ashok Bansal, General Manager Cal-C of Punjab Infotech, here today, an official spokesman said. The specially designed 90-hour module has been specially designed to meet the requirements of Punjab Police, said Ashok Bansal, General Manager Cal-C. The training is expected to commence from October 15.
