North India's first cyber lab becomes functional at Karnal

Training for first batch to commence from August 9

North India's first cyber laboratory became functional at Haryana Police Akademi, Madhuban, in Karnal district today.

The state-of-the-art laboratory set up at a cost of Rs 60 lakh was inaugurated by Pramod Bhasin, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Genpact Cyber Company.

Haryana Director General of Police, R S Dalal, who addressed the inaugural function, said that it would help in curbing the cyber-related and other crimes.

All police personnel would be given computer education in a phased manner to make them computer savvy, Dalal said.

The first batch of training at the Cyber lab would commence from August 9, After getting training at this lab, Haryana police personnel would be fully equipped to deal with cyber crimes effectively.
