Haryana to set up State Data Centre at Rs 12.38 crore

SSDG and state portal to be implemented soon

The Haryana Government is setting up a State Data Centre (SDC) here at a cost of Rs 12.38 crore.

The main benefits of the project include having a central data repository, secure data storage, online delivery of services, citizen information or services portal, state internet portal, disaster recovery, remote management and service integration, an official spokesman said here today.

He said that the project of state portal and State Service Delivery Gateway (SSDG) was also proposed to be implemented aiming at utilising the National e-Governance Plan (NeGP) Core Infrastructure.

It would help in using infrastructure of SDC, State Wide Area Network (SWAN) and Common Services Centres (CSCs).

Various offices of the departments like Finance, Revenue, Transport, Excise and Taxation, Panchayat, Urban Development, Women and Child Development, Agriculture, Education, Social Justice and Empowerment, Food and Supplies and Industries have been connected on this network, he said.

Moreover, all the courts and jails of Haryana have been connected on this network and trials of accused were now being conducted online through video conferencing.

The spokesman said adding that more than 200 offices of Haryana Police including Police Stations, which were earlier connected on Haryana Police Wide Area Network had now been connected on this network, which is being extensively used by Haryana Police.
