Epson, a digital imaging solutions provider, aims to garner Rs 180-crore revenue in the first year from its new interactive projector EB-450wi  launched two weeks ago in Indian market.

The company also plans to increase its overall revenue to Rs 500 crore in the current fiscal from the last year's Rs 400 crore.

"We aim to capture at least 500 schools for our new product in the first six months and the process has already began," said SM Ramprasad, Epson India manager (Consumer Products) after announcing the launch of EB-450wi in the Hyderabad market today.

Ramprasad said Epson, which currently enjoys 21 per cent share of the global projectors market and 13 per cent in India, had embarked on a 10-city 'nSolution' programme through which it is aiming at reaching out to about 2,000-odd systems integrator partners in the country in a couple of months.

The EB-450wi can project onto any existing whiteboard, wall or hard surface. It also features a digital infrared pen that allows users to write with 'virtual ink' on the projected area, manipulate interactive on-screen objects and features, or use it as a computer mouse
