Engineer held for uploading obscene pics on girl's FB account

Case under IT Act registered In Madhya Pradesh

A computer engineer has been arrested for allegedly hacking the Facebook account of a girl and uploading obscene pictures on it, police said today.

The accused identified as Vinay Singh (25) was arrested from Guna in Madhya Pradesh under the relevant sections of the IT Act, Cyber crime cell in-charge, Jitendra Singh told reporters.

Vinay, who is known to the victim's family for quite sometime, had hacked the account of the victim's mother on a different social networking site, Singh said.

However, due to some problems, the victim's family refused to entertain him in their house following which he decided to settle a score with them.

He hacked the Facebook account of the girl and uploaded obscene pictures on it. He began sending indecent text messages from the account and also accepted friendship offers from unwanted persons, Singh said.

Further investigations are on.
