Educomp bags Rs 51.14 cr order from Bihar govt

To provide computer education services in 600 schools

Education firm Educomp Solutions today said it has bagged an order worth Rs 51.14 crore from the Bihar government to provide computer education in senior secondary schools across the state for a period of three years.

Educomp will provide computer education in 600 senior secondary schools across the rural and urban areas in the state, Educomp said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.

The scope of work includes supply, installation and maintenance of IT infrastructure and computer education services in these schools on build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) basis.

"We have signed an agreement with Bihar State Electronics Development Corporation, for implementation of computer education across 13 districts in Bihar under the ICT school project for a period of three years," Edureach (Educomp's ICT Division) President Soumya Kanti said.
