Chitale to lead Patni's M&A

IT major Patni Computer Systems today announced the appointment of Sunil Chitale as its Executive Vice-President and Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer.

In his new role, Chitale will lead Patni's M&A, marketing and strategic planning functions, a press release issued here stated.

Chitale had begun his career at Patni in 1985. Besides managing large relationship portfolios, he had led the manufacturing vertical and also spearheaded Patni's Enterprise Software business globally.

In addition, he also managed the Patni Academy for Competency Enhancement (PACE) and Global Resources in Technology (GRiT) functions.

Patni CEO Jeya Kumar said, "We welcome Sunil into his new role at Patni. Over his successful 25-year stint with Patni, Sunil has led several large global portfolios. We are confident that he will be able to leverage his strong understanding of the company dynamics to drive its strategic vision."

"I look forward to strengthening Patni?s market position and taking it to its next level of strategic growth," Chitale said.
