BSNL's East Godavari division is country's first in services

Over 19000 broadband connections provided in the district

BSNL Andhra Circle General Manager Raghavendra Rao today said that BNSL's East Godavari district division stood first in the country for its services.

Addressing mediapersons here, he said that for 2009-2010, BSNL division of East Godavari district stood first in the BSNL services in the country. 19,293 broadband connections have been provided in the district, he said.

Another 30,000 connections would be provided shortly during this year and internet facility would be provided in every nook and corner of the district, he added.

The district has, So far, two lakh connections. BSNL has sanctioned 23,000 landlines and wireless in local loop (WLL) connection for villages in the district, he said.

He said that 2.7 lakh mobile phone connections are there in the district and 40 cell towers will be erected in the district.
