The state-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) will soon launch a new service called 'Mobile Money Transfer' to provide banking facilities to its customers at its doorstep, a BSNL official said today.

Under the proposed service, the customers will be able to pay their bills on either mobile or landline phones by simply making a call to their banks to transfer money for payment of bills, the BSNL's (Bihar Circle) General Manager Vijay Kumar told reporters here.

The BSNL has tied up with the State Bank of India (SBI) for the implementation of the proposed money transfer scheme, he said.

Referring to the congestion on the BSNL network in Kishanganj district, Kumar said that it has been proposed to set up 10 new BTS in the district to ease off the problem.
