Ahead of the crucial elections in the state, the CPI-M in West Bengal launched its website documenting its history, its growth and other details besides biographies of leaders.

CPI-M state secretary Biman Bose said the new generation of party workers are expected to "learn from our website" {cpi(m)wb.org.in}, which is an effort to project the party's role in steering the coalition governments in the state in particular since 1977.

Bose said the history of the party's movement, vital documents, particularly those adopted in important party congresses, statements in mouthpieces, biography of leaders as well as the plans and programmes of the party could be found on the website.
