Bahwan CyberTek aims 15 pc increase in its global revenue

To focus on power, energy and Government services

Chennai-based Bahwan CyberTek, part of Bahwan Group, Oman-based conglomerate aims 15 per cent increase in its global revenues in this fiscal, Prof Mohanbir Sawhney, Director (Strategy, Marketing and Business Innovation) said here today.

He said the growth is mostly driven by its increased operations in India and the USA.

"Our focus mainly is on Indian market, which presently has only a marginal share in our global revenues. We plan to enter in to new verticals like power, energy and Government services. We recently bagged a contract from BHEL for computerised maintenance and management system. We are in talks with other power units for our software services," Prof. Sawney said.

The software products and services company registered a turnover of Rs 475 crore last fiscal, and expects to tough Rs 550 crore this year.

The company is expected to close a major deal with a multinational bank having operations in India very soon.

However Sawney refused to reveal the details saying they do not wish to disclose details as yet.

"It is expected to be finalised in the next three to four months," Prof Sawhney told presspersons here.

The company offers a range of products for the banking sector, like integrated remittance application, electronic payment solution, foreign exchange services automation and a fund and portfolio management system for investment management.
