Air Arabia launches online UAE visa service with IVS Global

Call centre setup to facilitate passengers

Gulf-based low-cost air-carrier, Air Arabia, today said it has tied-up with visa processing agency, IVS Global, to provide online business and visit visa to its UAE-bound customers from India.

The airline also announced the launch of a call centre in India to facilitate passengers book their flight tickets for Air Arabia flights.

"The UAE visa service is designed for Air Arabia passengers from India. Now, customers can apply for a UAE visa online directly through their offices and homes," Air Arabia's Head of Commercial, A K Nizar, told reporters here.

Besides, travel agents can also avail the services, Nizar said, adding that the airline has an around 5,000 strong travel agents network and they will also be authorised to offer visa services.

The airline has also set up a call centre through which the customers can book tickets as well as enquire about the flight status and other services, he said.

Air Arabia currently operates 105 flights per week from 13 Indian destinations which comprises both metro as well as Tier-11 cities.

Air Arabia has an 'unmatched commitment' to the Indian market which contributes around 20 per cent to the airline's total revenue, Nizar said, adding "we are ready to take-off from any Indian destination."

"We are in discussions with the Indian Government to enhance frequency as well as add some more destinations," he said.
