Petitioner writes to EC to against RS nomination for RCP Singh

Gaya-based social worker had earlier filed a petition with EC on the issue

A Gaya-based social worker, Nonu Singh today dashed off a letter to the CEC and Bihar Assembly secretary against former Prinicpal Secretary to the Chief Minister, R C P Singh to know as to how a person against whom a case was pending could contest the biennial elections to the Rajya Sabha.

Singh, son of late Parash Singh, a resident of Belhari village under Belaganj police limits of Gaya district had filed a complaint case 1535(C)/2010 against 13 persons, including Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister, S K Modi, Chief Secretary Anoop Mukherjee, R C P Singh and others for their alleged involvement in multi-crore Excise scam under different sections of the IPC.

Singh had filed the complaint petition in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Patna, Surendra Pratap Singh on June 5 under sections 119, 191,193, 467, 468, 471, 420, 120 (B),406, 409/34 who had taken cognizance of the complaint.
