100 government schools in TN to have e-Smart classroom

The Information Technology Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at Gangaikondan near here, being promoted by ELCOT would be ready by November, according to state IT minister Poongothai Aladi Aruna.

The minister,here to review construction of a 50,000 square feet building at the SEZ 15 km from here last evening,said the building as well as other infrastructral facilities, including centralised AC, sewage treatment plant, food court would be completed by October.

As of now  had been allotted land in the first phase, she said.

Solar Power generation company A and D Solar systems would generate 5 MW from the complex and had been allotted 25 acres.

The SEZ at Madurai would be ready in eight weeks and the Tiruchi project would be ready by November.

Meanwhile,IT minister and School education Minister Thangam Thennarasu launched an "e-Smart"classroom at a government Higher secondary school in Virudhunagar district and said 100 government schools in Tamil Nadu would have eSmart classrooms.

The facility would help teachers use interactive electronic Board, supported by Computer and 3D images, she said, adding the animations would help students easily learn subjects.
